Croome Park Walled Garden

Croome Park Walled Garden

Britain's largest Georgian walled garden has been meticulously restored by the Cronin family since 2000. Our visit will be guided by Chris Cronin, at a time when the garden is not open to the public.  We will see the fig and melon houses, and the vinery which have been brought back to life, and the new rose garden the family has created.  Since our visit was first planned, before the Covid pandemic, progress  has been made with the pineapple house and new tomato house, and the Mediterranean Garden, and new art and sculptures have been introduced.

The Walled Gardens are privately owned, but open in partnership with the National Trust and members may wish to make a day of it by spending the morning exploring Croome Court and its Lancelot 'Capability' Brown landscape (not included in our price above).

Chris goes on to say “. Regarding new features, there will be several to see. The Mosaic Garden is our main project for this year. I won’t be completed by the time of your visit but I don’t think you will be disappointed by our progress. We will also be launching our new pottery studio with a resident potter who will be firing clay on site and displaying his work in the Visitor Centre. There is a whole host of new planting, both vegetables and flowers, plus a few secrets that I can’t yet.

These visits are only avilable to GGLT members
